Harvest Farms

Back in September, Troy went antelope hunting for a few days. While he was gone the kids and I went with some friends down to Harvest Farms. We went last year too and the kids love it. Some of their favorites this year were; the barrel/train ride, the hay ride, pumpkin smash, corn box, roping bulls and the pig races. I love going because it is only a 20 minute drive and hours of fun for the kids. I thought it was a little expensive but then learned on our hay ride that the farm is a recovery place for people who are trying to get over addictions. They told us a lot of the history of the farm and then I didn't feel so bad about how much it cost, it was for a good cause. We had a great time and I definitely think it is going to be one of our fall traditions.

Halloween Houses

Last week while Troy was out hunting I wanted to do something fun with the boys that I knew Troy would not be thrilled about...making Halloween Houses! It was probably a good thing because the kids ate a ton of sugar and things got a little messy but we had a blast. We had some friends over and I just loved seeing how creative the kids were. Sebastien's little house didn't last too long, Manti reached for a piece of candy and down it went! Surprisingly Sebastien did not get mad or cry he just said, "that's okay, it was just an accident." I also told him we could always make another one with Daddy so he was happy about that. Now we just have to wait and see if that actually happens. Maybe it will be a fun thing we can do on Halloween since it falls on Sunday this year. I have to give a big thank you to my friend Bri who took pictures before disaster struck.

Family Pictures

A few weeks ago we met some friends at the park for some family pictures. It was funny to listen to the boys say "cheeeeeese". In some of the pictures they have a fake smile because they were so concerned about saying cheese. They are still cute though. Having three young babies, I am happy with what we got. It was a fun experience minus the creepy guy at the park.

As Manti would say, "It too bright!"

I am hoping we can get some more when it snows but that will just depend on how cold it is.

Dear Manti...

My Dearest Manti,

I love your art work and creativity, you are so very talented. However, next time can we please NOT color all over the WALLS, TELEVISION, ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, KITCHEN CABINETS, FISH TANK and REFRIGERATOR while I am cleaning the rest of the house.

2 Months

Our baby girl is growing so fast! I have mixed emotions...it's always fun to see them grow and learn new things but I LOVE, LOVE the itty bitty baby stage. I love cuddling with her and I love her small clothes. It makes me sad that I am having to box up some of the newborn clothes and move on to the next size. I am not ready for her to get so big!! :)


At the beginning of the month, we took her for her two month check up. She liked the doctor but not the noisy paper they put on the table. She would start to cry every time her hands hit the paper. It was pretty funny. She weighed in at 9 pounds 11 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long. She had gained a total of 4 pounds since birth! The doctor was very happy with how she is growing. I took her in for a weight check yesterday and she is now 10 pounds 1 ounce. Go Emree!


Here are some things that Emree likes or is doing at two months:


*her swing
*watching her brothers
*sucking her thumb (it is so cute!)
*the little blue lamb on her little rocking/vibrating chair
*squeaking pig toy that hangs on her car seat (she only likes it when I squeeze it, otherwise she could really care less that it is there.)
*she loves to smile
*still eats every three hours during the day
*will sleep 8-9 hours at night (THANK YOU, EMREE!!)
*has started cooing
*likes to play "motor boat"
*she is very easy going and rarely cries
* sitting in the bumbo (I just pulled it out last night and she loved it.)
*loves when her brother's sing to her

She is always very good to just hang out in the car seat when we go somewhere.

I love this picture...she was making a pouty face and I thought it was too funny.

Check out that double chin! It is so cute and kissable.

She likes being able to sit up and look around.

There's that thumb! She loves it and will sometimes get mad if I take it out of her mouth, she is so silly.

Snow Trucks

That's right...I said SNOW trucks! Yesterday was the base's annual snow truck parade. I always think it is really funny (in a ridiculous kind of way) but the kids love it. In the past it has been cold and we have to bundle the boys but yesterday the weather was perfect! Sebastien was excited the whole day for the snow trucks to drive by and throw him candy. Manti was excited until the trucks got closer and were honking their horns. He hid behind the car and kept saying "it too loud, I no like it." He wouldn't even go for the candy the drivers were throwing out the windows. Troy ended up having to hold him so he wouldn't miss the fun. Daddy and the kiddos waiting for snow trucks.

The boys thought this one was really cool because it had a huge shovel on the front.

This is my favorite. It is really cool to see it clearing the snow off the roads.

It was a short parade but still a fun activity for the boys. Emree slept through the whole thing, no surprise there.

The Wrath of Manti

When I look at this cute face I sometimes think "he is too sweet" to do anything naughty...

and then reality sets in and I get to deal with this...


BITING!! This is Sebastien's back where Manti has attacked. Sebastien isn't always innocent but I don't think he deserves these horrible bite marks. I really don't understand why Manti resorts to biting. He has never bit anyone else (thank goodness) but WHY does he feel it is okay to attack his brother?? I should add that usually when the biting occurs, there is teasing, playing or fighting involved.

To any of you parents out there who have had a child that likes to bite, what did you do to get it under control? It seems like anything I do doesn't even phase Manti.
