Emree joined our family on the 29th of July at 8:28 PM she was 5 lbs 11.4 oz and 19 inches long. The delivery process was on the fast side to say the least. It all started at 10:30 earlier that morning when we had a doctor's appointment, they checked me and told us I was dilated to a 3 and expected us to have a baby soon. I had some contractions off and on all day. Troy got home at 6 and after a lot of convincing from Troy and Grandma, we decided it was time to head out. I didn't want to go too soon and then be sent home, I was a little stubborn! We finally arrived at the hospital at 7:00PM and they were just going to put us in a triage room, we didn't even sit down when they realized how close my contractions were. The nurse asked if I was "uncomfortable" and I said, "Yep, just a little bit." She decided to take us straight to a labor & delivery room. The labor and delivery nurse was really new, and told me she couldn't call the doctor to do the epidural until she had the administration paperwork done and IV in and running. It was a long process due to the fact she was asking questions from the wrong form. We actually never completed the form until after Emree was born. It took two nurses, 2 blown veins and a lot of poking to get the IV and by then my contractions were minutes apart and really intense. Troy was really good about holding my hand and reminding me to breathe! He tried so hard to get the nurses to get me the epidural fast but the baby had plans of her own. She was not going to wait any longer to make her grand arrival. The nurses had all left the room and I started to feel a lot of pressure with every contraction. I asked Troy to go get the nurses so they could check me. The doctor came in, broke my water and Emree was born. Yes this was a totally natural birth and NO not by choice.
The recovery process has been excellent. I have been very surprised at how well I feel and sometimes forget I just had a baby. I tried to pick up Manti and quickly realized my body was not quite ready for that. The boys have been so good with baby Emree. They love to give her kisses and hold her. I am a little nervous for Troy to go back to work and Grandma leaving but I think I will be able to handle it. I am just glad the weather in Cheyenne is still nice enough for the boys to play outside and burn a lot of energy!

Park
Manti has turned 2!! It is so scary how fast time really goes by. This year his birthday was on a Sunday so we were not able to keep up the family tradition of getting birthday donuts. If that wasn't bad enough, both boys were sick so we didn't even decorate the house. I felt so bad that we didn't do anything on his actual birthday so we planned a last minute birthday party for him this past weekend. The last morning with Grandma Cahoon, we decorated the house, made our donut run and went to play at a park. When Manti woke up and saw the cool decorations, he knew it was HIS birthday. He had the biggest smile on his face and said, "IT MY BIRDAY!" After we picked up the birthday donuts, we drove around looking at houses and found a park to stop at.
The boys are recovering after rolling down the hill. They got a little too dizzy!
Troy got a little sick after the trip to the park. I don't think we will be going to roll down hills anytime soon.

Loveland, CO
After my 34 week appointment and everyone thinking I was going to have this baby anytime, Troy's parents decided to come up and help us when the baby came. I had been having so many contractions and thought myself she might come early. Of course a couple days after they got into town, any contractions I had been having STOPPED! We decided to get out of Cheyenne for a day and head down to Loveland, CO for some fun shopping and yummy food. On one side of the freeway are the outlet malls and the other side has a ton of restaurants and a nice strip mall. Included in the strip mall is a mini water area for kids. Our boys have never LOVED the water, they just tolerate it. Sebastien is becoming more adventurous every time we go there. This time he had a blast and got soaking wet. Luckily I had an extra pair of shorts and underwear (in case of a potty accident) but no shirt. He just walked around without and looked so cute. It was a much needed trip (for me) and we all had so much fun.
Manti slept on Troy for the first half of lunch. It was so cute because he doesn't usually stay asleep when we go somewhere.
Sebastien is getting so silly when it comes to getting his picture taken. This time, he had to show off his blue crayon.
Boys Day Out
I recently got my hair done and well, we will just leave it at an INTERESTING experience that took A LOT of time and an okay finished product. During the whole process, Troy decided to take the boys fishing. They were so excited to spend time with just daddy. Since I wasn't around to tell about the experience, I will just post the pictures Troy got...

37 weeks
I am late in posting about my last doctor's appointment because for me it was another disappointing one. Troy's parents were in town so they watched the boys while we were there. There isn't much to report. NO CHANGES whatsoever! The doctor just sat in the room and talked about everything except for me making any progress. When she left the room she said, "we will see you back in a week if you don't have the baby before then."
I have decided I don't want the doctor to check me anymore. This baby girl has made it very clear that she is NOT going to come until SHE is ready. No matter how much I talk to her and tell her to listen, she has made up her mind. I am as ready as I could possibly be so it is all up to her now. Who knows, this could be the one time I actually go to my due date!

Fireworks
Sebastien and Manti were both very excited about seeing fireworks this year. It was way past their bedtime by the time they started but Sebastien was a trooper. He stayed awake the whole time and sat on Grandma Cahoon's lap talking about all of his favorites. Manti could have cared less. He fell asleep on the way to watch fireworks then when we got chairs set up and sat down, he said, "mommy, I not like fireworks." He was asleep two minutes later and slept through everything! Troy was part of the flag drop at the CFD stadium and got to lay on the roof for the show. He took his dad with him and they had a great time. It was a fun night and they are still asking about watching more fireworks.

36 Weeks
Another week down and not much to report. The doctor's appointment was nothing to get excited about. Turns out nothing has changed in my progress but now that we have made it to 36 weeks I am ready to walk, walk and walk! I think the funniest thing about this appointment was the fact that I LOST 5 pounds! The nurse asked if they weighed me on the same scale the week prior and then said, "oh well, you will fluctuate, it's okay."

35 Weeks
We went to the doctor again today for my 35 week check up and there isn't much to report.
*I gained a pound
*blood pressure was good
*still at a 2
*be back in a week
I will continue the weekly appointments until this little girl arrives. This is always the hardest part for me. I get so anxious for the weekly appointments knowing that we are so close to the end. I think we are all just excited to meet this little girl and finally have a reason to not be sleeping! :) We have not settled on a name yet. We have a couple that we like but can not fully agree on one. The closer we get, the more I am convinced it is going to take seeing her to decide what name fits best.
