Accident Prone

After Emree was born I took a few Sunday's off from church. Troy was so sweet to take the boys so I could rest. The first time he took them (after Emree was born) he came walking in the house with blood on his white shirt. As soon as I saw him I knew it must have been an eventful day. I guess Manti decided to start hopping like a frog during sacrament meeting and smacked his face on the bench. He split his lip open and came home with a bloody, fat lip. We didn't get any pictures of this one but it was a doosey.

The next week I needed to get out of the house so we all went to church. Fifteen minutes into the meeting, Manti was trying to get down of the bench and smacked his eye on the corner of the hymn book holder. I saw him hit and just hoped there wasn't going to be any blood. As soon as he fell I picked him up right away. I knew it was a bad fall because of his cry. It was the one where he started to cry and then held his breath forever then screamed even louder. When I first looked at his eye there was a little scratch and an indention from the corner. By the time I got out into the foyer and looked at him again, his eye was swollen and bruised. Keep in mind it had only been about 10-15 seconds. We knew he was going to get a pretty good shiner. We attempted to put ice on his face but he was not about to let us do that. We left after sacrament meeting, I was afraid what could have happened had he gone to nursery.

One of the pictures we got of his eye. (For some reason my computer wouldn't load more then one and it started frustrating me. So, this is it for now.)
A few weeks later, I took the kids to the store by myself. It wasn't the first time we had been out but it was definitely the last time Manti gets to sit in the basket part of the cart. We were picking up a hat for Troy and the boys were taking turns carrying it. Sebastien thought it would be fun to tease Manti, this did NOT end well. Manti ended up reaching for the hat and flipped right out of the cart landing on his back and head! I knew right then I wouldn't be getting a "mother of the year" award. Ha! He hit pretty hard but I think it scared him more then anything.
I don't know what it is about Manti, but he seems to always hit his head or face. I am honestly surprised that we haven't ended up in the emergency room with him. (I hope I didn't just jinx myself.)
