We had a very busy and exciting Easter weekend. We started out on Friday by going to story time on base. We use to go every week and then stopped for a while. The boys were very excited about being there again. We got to read two stories, listen to two Easter songs, make a craft (a little bunny) and then hunt for eggs in the Children's section of the library. The boys had so much fun and couldn't stop talking about "looking for eggs".

Saturday we took them to an egg hunt on base. Being in Cheyenne, we don't have the chance to have too many egg hunts outside. The base usually puts together indoor egg hunts for different age groups. This year it was very unorganized and chaotic. I don't know if they were expecting a lot of people to be out of town (it was the last weekend of spring break) or if they didn't think people would show up because of the weather but there were people ALL over the place. We waited in a crazy line for probably a good 20 minutes (if not more) to walk in a room where a lady was filling the eggs as kids were coming in, then rolling them across the floor. Not a lot of "hunting" involved but of course the boys still had fun.
Sunday morning the boys woke up to a trail of eggs the
Easter bunny had left starting upstairs at their bedroom doors. They were VERY excited and immediately started opening each egg, looking for a treat inside. They were both disappointed to find the eggs empty but quickly hurried down the stairs to find what the
Easter bunny had put in their baskets.

Sebastien was a nice big brother and would wait for
Manti to make his way down the stairs. He is not as fast as Sebastien yet but they still had fun collecting all the eggs on the stairs.

Not surprising, Sebastien got to the
Easter baskets first and left
Manti trailing behind. They were so excited to see what was in those eggs!

Before they got too crazy about the treats, we made them sit down for a quick Easter morning picture. They loved showing off their eggs and candy.
Manti actually started dumping everything into a pile and throwing the egg on the floor. They were both very surprised to find quarters too. Now they each have 4 quarters to take to the mall and get a treat or ride one of the cars. Thanks Easter bunny!

After the fun of going through our Easter baskets, we made some breakfast and got ready to listen to conference. It was so awesome being able to listen to so many great talks about the Savior. It is still a little hard being able to hear everything with two very active boys but we tried to keep them entertained. They loved playing with their ramps and baby
einstein cards.

For the second session of conference, they took naps so Troy and I could focus more on what was being said. I have so many favorite talks and cannot wait to get the Ensign to read over them again. There was amazing advice and counsel in every talk and really made me want to do things a little different in my life.
We had a great Easter dinner with friends and loved being able to share the special day with them. We had a ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, carrots, rolls, fruit dip, strawberries, pineapple and grapes. It was a great weekend filled with lots of fun, treats and love for our Savior.

Sounds like a fun weekend. We were going to go to the Easter Egg hunt, but Hayden fell asleep and was out! Sounds like we didn't miss too much.
