Big Boy Bed

After much thought, we have decided to move Manti out of the crib and into his own big boy bed! We made the trade last Wednesday and he has done very well. He has does really well at night which surprised me. We will sing songs, say prayers and then turn on his music box and he will fuss for a minute, then crash. He seems to play in his room more when it is time for naps or he will just stand at the baby gate and cry. The first couple of days he only slept for about 30 minutes and has figured out that nap time in his big bed isn't so bad. It makes me a little sad to think he is already old enough for this but I definitely thought it would be easier now rather then when the baby comes.

He always has to have a cup of water and his kitty cat when he goes to bed. So cute!

My next task is to find bedding for both boys and bunk beds...I never realized how expensive they are. Thank goodness for savings!

A "Real" Mall

Living in Cheyenne, we don't get the opportunity to go to a decent size mall very often. I guess I should be thankful we have a mall here but being in Arizona really reminded us of how small our mall is. We planned a lunch date with Troy's family and then walked around the mall for a couple hours. We came upon the kids play area and the chaos began. When we first got there, there were only two or three other kids. I headed off to the restroom and when I returned it was a mad house. I could not believe how fast it filled up. The most there has ever been at the Cheyenne mall is probably ten kids. Manti was a little freaked out but Sebastien loved it. They even had an infant play area which I thought was a great idea. The Jeep

While in Arizona we stayed at Ganma and Ganpa Egnew's house. The boys loved their cars room, all the extra space to run around and the backyard! They spent so much time out there playing it was usually a fight to get them inside. One of their favorite things to do out there...drive the JEEP! This has been around a while but still chugs along pretty well. Sebastien wasn't very good at steering and pushing on the gas at the same time so I decided to jump in and drive the boys around. They just giggled the whole time and I have to admit, I liked it too! (prepare yourselves for picture overload on this one)

Gage & Malcolm brought their jeep over too. They got very creative with this.
Sebastien was not opposed to Gage driving him around. Gage is a GREAT driver!

Visit with Friends

We love being able to visit with our friends when we go to Arizona. It never seems like we have enough time to see everyone. For those we missed, I am sorry! We got to visit with our friend Allison at In-N-Out and see her cute baby girl. We use to be roommates and it is so weird to see her with a baby. We didn't get any pictures with her but we had a great time visiting. Thanks Alli for taking the time to meet up with us.
We also got to visit with Jason, Melissa and the kids! It was so fun to watch the kids play together. Melissa and I took the kids to the park and I don't know what the big boys did while we were gone. After the park we had a yummy dinner and then watched the kids play some more. We miss them tons and wish we could get together more often.

18 weeks and fun with the boys

Today I had another appointment to check on the baby. Troy was working so I decided to just take the boys with me and then run errands after. I of course got many funny looks and comments from people but that is to be expected. Manti is not a huge fan of the doctors office, even if it has nothing to do with him. He cried when I had to use the rest room, when the doctor measured my tummy and even when the doctor said hello to him. Sebastien is the complete opposite. He loves the attention he gets and seeing new things. Now for the news about baby #3...I gained one pound over the past month, they had a hard time finding the heartbeat (which made me VERY nervous), measured my belly and everything looks great! The baby was positioned funny which is why the heart beat wasn't really noticeable. The most comforting thing about the appointment was the movement of the baby. I just cannot wait until my ultrasound when I can actually see this little one and know for a fact that he/she is doing well!

After all the fun at the doctors office we went to Carl's Jr. and went to watch the trains. We were very lucky today and got to see 4 trains go by! The boys were loving it and had lots of fun. We then ventured off to Target and bought some new shelves for me to reorganize around the house. Yay for me! I am really trying to figure out how to set up for a third baby. If it is a boy, WE ARE SET! We will just do bunk beds in the kids room and move toys into the guest room. If we have a girl, I would like to do some girly stuff in their room but then I am not sure how all the boys would feel about that. Maybe we could talk the housing office on base into getting us a different house?!?! That would solve SO MANY problems. I don't think we are that lucky, bummer!

14 weeks

After our trip to Arizona I anxiously awaited my next appointment. I was just about 14 weeks and couldn't wait to get in and hear this little baby's heartbeat. I was very happy to see the doctor that delivered Manti, she is so wonderful. She came in to visit for a little bit at first and then got a page. I was so bummed because I didn't know if she was going to be back or not. Lucky for me she came back in the room a few minutes later and said, "Let's check out this baby!" Yay, the moment I have been waiting for! I laid down on the table and she began to look for the heartbeat. She kept trying to find it and then says "Huh?" Not the most comforting thing you want to hear from your doctor. She had to push on my tummy a little and then found a very faint heartbeat but heard a lot of movement. I didn't hear the heartbeat very well but she said it was there and sent me on my way. I was not as happy leaving that appointment as I thought I would be. I was really hoping to hear the heartbeat like I did with the boys. Hopefully next time the heartbeat will be easier to find and I can stop worrying.

Train Park

Before going to AZ we made a list of things we "must do". McCormick Train park was definitely one of them. I hadn't been there in years and was very surprised when we got there. Troy's sisters and kids joined us along with one of my brother's and sister's. We got to ride the train three times, the carousel twice and then play on the slides. It was so much fun to be with family and see how well the kids played together even though they don't get to see each other very often.

We cannot wait to go again next year. Hopefully we can be there when they have all the Christmas things up. The workers were taking everything down when we were there but it looked like it would have been a ton of fun.
