Thursday Nights

Since having Manti, our Thursday nights have been reserved for volleyball. When I first started playing again I would take both boys with me so Troy could sleep, with his work schedule being a little more friendly, he has been playing too. Sebastien loves to go to the church and watch "bally, bally, ball"! I have been talking up playing volleyball all week long, Sebastien is SO EXCITED! However, the last two weeks NO ONE has been there to play and Sebastien CRIES all the way home. I have felt so bad for the poor little guy. It isn't just whining, he is actually crying, big crocodile tears and all. Hopefully next week people will show up, I just can't stand to break his little heart again. Maybe this is a good sign, he could be our star volleyball player!:)

Family Pictures

The first day we were in town was family picture day. Since Troy's sister Megan was also in town with her kids (we hadn't seen them for 1 1/2 years) this was the perfect time for pictures. Wendi was kind enough to come out to the east valley and be our photographer, (thanks sis). The pics were taken at Val Vista Lakes, it is such a great place to take pictures. I guess that is why so many people have their wedding receptions there! :) This is our cute family with Gma & Gpa Cahoon. There were four different cameras going off which is why everyone is looking different directions!
Here is our family. I love the one with Sebastien sucking his thumb. The boys did well with all of the picture taking, we just couldn't seem to get one with both of them looking AND smiling! Oh well, maybe next time.

Here we have pictures of all the Cahoon cousins with Gma & Gpa Cahoon. I am sure you all know how possible it is to get everyone looking and smiling, so I thought this turned out pretty good. The other two pictures are of the whole Cahoon family, minus Megan's husband, Benny. He was unable to get the time off work. Hopefully next time we will be able to get EVERYONE!

Trip to Arizona

The first of the year we decided to take a family trip to Arizona, we had planned on staying for two weeks but when the boys got sick we had to cut it short (sorry to those of you we were not able to see this time around)! We had a wonderful time visiting with family and Sebastien LOVED playing with his cousins. There was so much going on and we have lots to post about so please bare with us as we try to catch up.

Nursery

Sebastien has now been going to nursery for two months. He is still a little hesitant about it when we take him in and will cry when we make our move for the door. As long as there are blocks or a ball, we can distract him long enough to sneak out. He must have a good time because when it is time to go home, he wants to stay and play! We might have a little problem on our hands though...A few weeks ago one of our friends was checking on her kiddos in the nursery and saw Sebastien walking around the room kissing on the little girls'! OH NO! I didn't think we would have to deal with this for at least 15 more years. The little girl is a good sport though, she just pushes him away and tries to escape....sorry Ellie!

After an exhausting day at church Sebastien came home and laid down on all his toys! He stayed like this for about 10 minutes, I was surprised it lasted that long. I guess kissing the girls' at church wore him out. :)

One of his newest things to do is take his shirts off. You would think with it being 20 degrees or colder he would want them on. What a goof!

6 months

Manti is now 6 months old and doing well. He is finally starting to like being on his tummy and making an effort to reach for toys. He is not really interested in sitting up but we are SLOWLY making progress with that. He has started eating baby food; oatmeal, squash, carrots, green beans and bananas! If he is really hungry he will eat a full jar of baby food and have 6oz of milk! He can be quite the piggy but it is hit and miss.

Sebastien loves to SHARE his food with Manti as well. The black crumbs on Manti's face are leftover oreos that Sebastien thought Manti should try. I don't think Sebastien gave him much but when I walked in the room, Manti was smacking his lips, he must of liked it!

At his 6 month check up he weighed 14 pounds 6 ounces and was about 25 1/2 inches. For having such a slow start he is sure catching up fast.

Scooting

My last post was about Manti scooting on his head. It is hard to explain how he does it so I thought I would let you see for yourself. When we were in Arizona a few weeks ago I got the perfect picture...

He is such a strong little stinker but I love to watch him do this. And I wonder why he is having problems with his little noggin'. :)

Hiding Place

Not too long ago I was trying to get the house cleaned and had Manti laying on the floor in the middle of the living room. Sebastien was following me around the house trying to help me clean. I walked into the living room just to peek at Manti and he was no longer on his blanket playing. I was very confused and couldn't figure out what was going on. Did I take him upstairs and forget he was up there? As I walked further into the living room, I noticed the Christmas tree branches moving. Still confused, I walked closer to the tree and saw this....

Manti had scooted (on his back/head) all the way under the Christmas tree. It was so cute and he had so much fun playing under it. After I took a million pictures I moved him back on the blanket with his TOYS, 5 minutes later he was back under the tree. I have to admit, him under the tree is the best gift I could get. I LOVE THIS LITTLE BOY! Here are some more of my favorite pictures...
