Easter

We had such a fun Easter. Aunt Wendi came to visit for a week and was able to be here with us. The boys were very excited for the Easter Bunny to come. They couldn't wait to hunt for eggs, get candy and anything else the E.B. brought. This was actually the first year we have dyed eggs with the boys. They thought it was fun for the first five minutes but quickly lost interest when it took so long for the eggs to change colors.

Sebastien thought the color cups were more exciting than the colored eggs.
At this point, Manti wasn't sure what to think.

Blue was their favorite for the day.

Poor Emree had to sit in her high chair while the rest of us colored the eggs. A few snacks here and there kept her happy.

The first egg! They are both pretty proud.

The Easter Bunny has a thing about leaving a trail of eggs from the boys room, down the stairs and into the living room. Manti was the first one up and immediately went down stairs. When I went down in the morning he looked and me like this.....

...And said "Some body made THIS MESS"

They both had so much fun opening up each and every egg looking for candy, toys and money.

The trail of eggs!

The Easter Bunny ROCKS!! This was the best day ever...until his birthday. :)

Manti loved the sports eggs. (Since then, he has had a haircut)

We had a nice dinner with Aunt Wendi and our friend Sam. It was great being able to teach the boys about the Savior and the real reason for Easter. Sebastien loves learning about Jesus and since Manti likes whatever Sebastien likes, it was perfect!

Magnets

Quick question.....what does this look like to you??

To me: clutter on the fridge, more toys for me to clean up and one more thing for the boys to fight over.

But to a curious three year old who loves primary and learning about the church, this is a family of magnets, gathering for family prayer!

I love how imaginative my little boys are becoming. They are so incredibly sweet!

4th Birthday

Sebastien has turned FOUR! Sad, but true. I just love this little man. He is so smart, a great big brother and lots of help for mom. He is very curious about new things and loves to learn. I love Sunday's because he loves primary and most of all his sunbeam teacher. Every Sunday after church he will tell me what Sister C talked about. He loves other kids and plays really well with just about anybody. He is NOT shy and will talk to anyone that makes eye contact with him. He definitely gets that from his dad.

This year for his birthday we didn't plan much. He really wants to have a party when we visit his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. That was the plan. I wanted to at least have a cake for him on his birthday and what he wanted was Spiderman. I was feeling cheap and didn't want to pay for a cake so I decided to make it myself. This turned into quite the project. We ended up calling some of his friends Friday night to come over Saturday! Short notice, I know. We have great friends here who made his day extra special.

We started the day with our usual birthday donuts!

He was so excited about his birthday he told EVERYONE in the donut shop.
Manti loved the excuse to have a donut. Anything with frosting and sprinkles is heaven for Manti.

Top layer almost gone and he was done.

Sebastien ate about half of his then stole daddy's when he wasn't looking.

The birthday cake! It has many imperfections but the birthday boy (and other kids) loved it so I was happy.

He was so excited when it was all finished. He had to have a picture with spiderman.

Manti was feeling a little left out so he wanted to take a picture too.

Family picture with the cake!

The worst part of the day was not being able to open presents. So, as soon as he got the okay, he couldn't sit still. As usual, he was pretty spoiled.

He loves when people sing Happy Birthday to him.

Very excited to blow out the candles.

Birthday boy with birthday cake. Yum, yum!

At the end of the night we went to check on the boys and this is how we found them. They were so exhausted from such a fun, busy day they just crashed. We thought it was pretty hiliarious how they were sleeping. The birthday was a hit and now Manti can't wait for it to be HIS special day.

Winter is Over

Now that winter is over I thought I would post some pictures of the kids playing in the snow. We weren't out in the snow too much this year. Partly because there wasn't a ton of snow and then when there was, it was too cold to have the kids out there. Manti still did not love it and Sebastien couldn't get enough of it. When Sebastien would say his prayers he would always say, "please let there be lots of snow tomorrow so I can play in it." He has finally moved on from praying for snow. I think he, like everyone else around here, is ready for some warm weather to play outside.

He thought it was pretty cool that it had snowed on the slide.

It was even cooler when he got to slide down the snowy slide.

Manti was trying to have fun. Who am I kidding, he wasn't trying he disliked every minute of it.

Oh no, there is snow on his hands! "I no like this momma"!

My angel making a snow angel.

Going down the slide head first is pretty cool. Eating snow at the end of the slide, not so cool.

Forget the snow, this kid is much happier INSIDE!

Driving the jeep in the snow is great practice for drifting.

She looked so cute all bundled up.

The boys thought it would be fun to build a big wall out of snow, throw snowballs at me and hide.

Note to self: taking pictures during a snowball fight, not such a great idea!

Daddy's Pants

Sebastien always talks about how he wants to be big like his daddy. If he wants to do something and I say no, he will say "when I get big like daddy I can do it"? One day, Sebastien decided he thought it would be fun to be like daddy, so he tried on his pants.

Step 1: Sit down and pull the pants over legs.
Step 2: Try to stand up with out falling over. There was A LOT of fabric to scrunch up.

Step 3: Check out your "behind"! I just love the look he has on his face.

He has a lot of growing to do before wearing his daddy's pants but I am in NO HURRY for that. I hope he grows up to be just like his dad, because he is pretty cool. :)

7 Months

I am still behind in posting what has been going on around here but I have a list of what I want to blog about so hopefully that will help me be motivated to DO IT!!

I am going to make this post short, sweet and to the point. At 7 months, this is what Emree was up to:

*she weighed in at 14 pounds 14 ounces
*25 inches long
*pushing up on hands and knees
*sitting up on her own
*laughs at her brothers
*does a "fake cough" when she hears Sebastien cough
*stranger anxiety
*feeds herself puffs and baby mum mum's
*scooting around
*can find daddy if you ask her "Where's daddy"
*doesn't like to be swaddled anymore

She is getting ready to take off!
Hanging out in Colorado.

Eating some ice cream. Yum, Yum!

Snacking on her toes.

Just being cute!

6 Months

Why is it when you are pregnant it seems like time goes so slow but after the baby is born, it goes by so fast?? Here I am blogging about my baby being six months (when she is almost nine months).

Here is the list of things she was doing at the time:
~Loves to be swaddled when taking a nap or going to bed.
~Started rolling in her sleep. She gets upset if she can't get on her tummy.
~Figured out it is fun to pull mommy's hair.
~Rolls everywhere!
~Eats her toes.
~Loves to says "dada".
~Discovered her ears.
~Anything she can get her hands on ends up in her mouth.
~STILL REFUSES to take a bottle!
~Will scoot backwards.
~Began pushing up on her toes then lunging forward.
~TEETHING!
~Got tooth #1. Three days later, got tooth #2.
~Loves to eat new foods.
*Sweet potatoes
*Apples (gaged like crazy when I gave her these)
*Peas
*Oatmeal (she prefers this over rice cereal)
*Puffs
*Baby Mum Mum's
*Bread
~She got her first taste of ice cream. Mommy gave her a couple of tiny bites. A minute later she had RED WELTS all around her mouth.

She is such a sweet baby and I love being able to see her figure new things out each day.

Sebastien loves to try and make her laugh.
Wearing her onesie from Troy's commander and his wife. It has her name on the back and is so cute!

Her sweet little smile. I think she was annoyed with the camera at this point.

Having some play time with Manti.
This girl LOVES her daddy.
